MISSISSAUGA REBELS

The Mississauga Rebels Hockey Club was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1995. The Rebels have a full compliment of eight AAA minor hockey teams participating in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. The G.T.H.L. encompasses a geographical area known as the “Lake Ontario Region” that includes Metro Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Vaughan, Caledon, Richmond Hill, Markham and Ajax/Pickering.

Founded by the late Michael Dixon, John Dixon continues to operate The Mississauga Rebels Hockey Club with its original vision in mind. The Rebels operates as a minor hockey club catering to the development, fulfillment and enjoyment of children competing as amateur hockey players. The Rebels are proud of their high standards and values that are upheld:

• Provide an elite level AAA hockey development program for players to develop their skills and pursue their hockey dream.
• Maintain emphasis on development for all players and measure success in terms of improvement and not just winning. This includes skill development, tactical comprehension and improved physical performance and athleticism.
• Provide a cultural education whereby Rebels players learn discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Provide an enjoyable environment with team harmony that is conducive to building special memories that will last a lifetime.
• Teach, encourage and enforce rules of fair play and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and spectators.
• Operate the Club without pecuniary gain or benefits to any of its members.
• Use all revenues solely for the promotion of these objectives.
• Promote the City of Mississauga.
