Founded by the late Michael Dixon, John Dixon continues to operate The Mississauga Rebels Hockey Club with its original vision in mind. The Rebels operate as a minor hockey club catering to the development, fulfillment and enjoyment of youth competing as amateur hockey players. The Rebels operate the Club without pecuniary gain or benefits to any of its members. All revenues are used solely for the promotion of the club's objectives, as well as to promote the City of Mississauga.
Thank you to the many volunteers that have assisted and continue to assist our Rebels Organization in a number of ways with the hope of providing a safe, learning and playful environement for the players entrusted to our care
The Rebels
- maintain emphasis on development for all players and measure success in terms of improvement and not just winning;
- provide a cultural education whereby players learn discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship;
- provide an environment that is conducive to building special memories that will last a lifetime; and
- encourage fair play and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and spectators.
